Hi,

Anyone here is running 2.2L with comptech and tracking the car 10-15 times a year ? Full day lapping ? I would like to know if you have any problems with your s2k expecially related to the use of the supercharger ?

I saw a magazine name sportcar.. (forgot) last weekend? It tell you how the fat (mod) effect your car, and then they took both 350Z to the track (one w/ Vortech SC, another just Nismo N/A). The outcome was the N/A much faster than the one w/ Vortech SC on track time. I didn't read very detail in book store, but it is very interesting and alot useful tips about each mod.

 

road and track took out 4 differently tuned s2000's and one stock ap2 and the ap1 w/ comptech supercharger (and other assorted mods) came out on top i believe. some of the other turbo'd cars were slower around the track than the stock car though.........

 

I haven't tracked the car since going FI, but Modifry tracks his supercharged S2k. If he dosn't respond to the thread you might want to send him a PM.

 

after mines put on i'll still be going to the track i hope it doesnt make me slower haha

 

The supercharged Z also had a widebody kit, bigger tires and wheels, a big brake kit, and other mods - it wasn't the supercharger that made it slower.

 

hecash has tracked his car for 60.000 miles and he had one of the first SC units on his AP1

 

I'd like some more info guys...I haven't heard of too many FI guys tracking their cars. I have a Comptech SC and Summit Point is having a 2 day package for $300 in a couple months...I'm thinking about it but I'd like to know how the motor holds up to the heat.
