Default Comptech water pump vs SoS / others

Any actual data on ideal flow rates / dwell time for the stock CTSC pump vs the others? Current setup is CTSC @ 11psi, novi 1200, 91 octane with the large SoS heat exchanger.

Heres what you want http://www.frozenboost.com/liquid-ai...02-p-1001.html

I run it and saw better IAT levels with it, im also running the SoS heat exchanger... that little Johnson pump wasn't up to the job

Yeah, can't go past that Bosch pump. It's a mammoth in comparison to the Johnson pump that's supplied with the SOS kit at least. I think you'll expect to see a good drop in IATs.

Curious how it compares in sound to the pump that comes with the SOS kit...also, does it just help with IAT? It won't affect the tune will it?

The Bosch pump makes a whine with the key turned and the engine off, but once the motor is running there is no way you would hear it over everything else under the hood (my injectors, blower noise, and engine noise are all significantly louder than it, even at idle).

Just a FYI my sos pump failed on me today, I just read post with people who are having similar problems as well. I am not going to bother contacting them since their after sales support is horrible, also needign an upgrade any suggestions?

The Bosch pump is a lot quieter than the Johnson, in my opinion anyway. It will not affect your tune, the ECU will compensate for the lower air temperatures.

Thanks man! Exactly what I was hoping for... What range of air and coolant temps do you usually see?

Thats odd, SoS has been the best shop that I have ever worked with. Those Johnson pumps had a bad rap, so its more of a mfgr thing. For the water pump, the bosch is the best IMO... but if you have had a bad experience at SoS, you need to talk to Chris the GM. He will make it right, he has solid customer service and support.

Bosch pumps are OEM quality and give you good flow. They are not loud at all.
