Default Comptech with or without aftercooler?

Looking to buy a Comptech Supercharger. But Im not sure If Im going to get the aftercooler with it, to save me teh 880 bucks. Is there any Real Preformance that comes from the aftercoolers? thats worth the price.

And also I got 4.57 Gears. So anyone know how Superchargers drive and run with the 4.57s?

and you have to tune the car when you get a supercharger right?

sry if these are noob questions

Having the gears is an added bonus, they somewhat compensate for the lack of boost at lower rpm's. I had the 4.57's with my supercharger and enjoyed the combo.

I went with the AC because I figured I would want as much boost as I could get eventually.

The AC will cost you around a lb of boost normally but to me cooler is safer. You can always get a smaller pulley.

I've got the SC/AC and 4.57s and I love it.

I'm running an AP2 pulley on my NON aftercooled CTSC and making 304 HP to the wheels (8lbs on the dyno). Daily driven to the bone!! You only need an aftercooler if you are going more than what I am doing IMO.
