No tuning is required (or needed) with a stock CTSC (or VTSC), with or without AC.

However, getting a CTSC is apt to be a problem, because as has already been pointed out, Comptech has gone out of business. If you want a no-tuning-required CARB legal FI setup, Vortech is now the only choice.

The only caution I would add to this is if you've made exhaust modifications you may want to dyno tune the car to make sure you're not running too lean.

my AC has a lil leak in it so if i don't refill it up, it gets super hot. i can tell when it needs refilling because i can tell there is a power loss from the heat soak.

now you can imagine if you didnt even have it ...hope that answers your question.

Any engine mods in addition to the SC can throw the tuning off. It also never hurts to put the car on a dnyo or install a wideband AF logger (or gauge) so you and see what the AF looks like, even if you don't need to tune.

i have stock cat + stock exhaust and even with the pressure turned up as much as possible i'm still running lean in the 6-7K RPM range. everything other than that is good. lots of people with comptech kits are lean in this area.

if you add a test pipe and a high flowing exhaust you will definately lean out to dangerous conditions.

I use to get what I thought was heat soak untill I got my car tuned. Now it no longer does that... I know now that I was running pretty lean when this was happening.

(and I'm non aftercooled)

MY02-03 cars run a little leaner than MY00-01 cars, but I still don't think you should have to crank the FPR all the way down. No other mods? Correct fuel pressure off boost?
