Is it possible to connect to the AEM EMS, when its not in the car?
Im using the serial to USB connector.

I want to load a map onto it from my computer, EMS is sitting next to the computer
It keeps saying cant connect..
cannot find USB communications library AEMUSB.dll

Have you applied 12V DC to the AEM like it would have in the car?
When you have the serial to USB connected to hte PC can you see RS232 coms ports in the hardware manager and have you set it to COM1?
This is how I connect to mine in the car, no problems at all.

I needed a better serial to usb adapter, picked up an IOGear brand that comes with driver CD. Then I was able to select serial connection and a com port.

were gonna get started on my turbo install today, so Ill just do it in the car.. Im a little worried about frying the EMS by connecting another power source
