Default Coolant

how much coolant do you need to put in the comptech ac and what kind and is it a mix of coolant and water.

50/50 mix of DISTILLED water and coolant. just fill it till it's 3/4" or so from the top of the fill hole

it doesn't have any of the ions present in regular water that will build up within the system

Why coolant? Is that to keep it from freezing? Water + water wetter is touted to conduct more heat than antifreeze.

true, i live in Maryland though so it can freeze in the winter

What Comptech says is most effective.

Instead of Water Wetter, some people use a teaspoon of dish soap. Kind of ghetto, lol.

Redline water wetter is what was recommended from Comptech I do believe. 50/50, If I remember correctly it is suppose to reduce water temp by 20 degrees stated on the bottle. I used bottled water, didn't have any distilled. Probably will change it out by spring.
