Default My First Manifold

So I decided I NEED a turbo on my S. On a budget, my option was 1. buy a used Full Race manifold for around 1000. 2. Buy an IP manifold. But with the high flowing design of the s2000 head, power would suffer compared to a manifold with a decent collector. 3. Buy a spare engine to mock up on, and put my $5000 workshop to use. I think option 3 is best

So I Just threw in a few hours today.....almost finished fitting everything.
I ran out of Argon, so I need to get some more before I continue.
Pretty similar to the Full Race design, bottom mounted, requires oil filter relocation.

Here are a couple pics i took real quick with my phone (sorry for quality)

DANG! that mani follow the exact same idea ive been thinking of building myself! Looks great. I had the plan to get the turbo on the same place as the ILP manifold gives, but my worry is if I will have space for the wastegate pipe. Thanks for posting this!

Will it fit with no relocation of stuff in the engine room?

no clue haven't tested it in the car yet, i was just trying to keep the turbo as close to the engine block as possible.
I have to pull the header off my car and test fit it that way before I finish welding everything up, hopefully it clears the frame. I think it will from the quick measurements i took when i popped the hood.

How long have you been TIG welding? I just started to learn... I'm teacher certified in MIG and arc.

Good luck.

Yea your welds could have been better. Looks like your heavy footed in some spots and in others barely penetrated. Not trying to hate but I would touch up the welds. Make sure there isn't to much slag in the runners. Interesting looking manifold though good luck.

All I see are the tack welds.
