You say the headgasket failed, i say it failed because a bad tank of gas or overheating.

and FWIW, I can't see how a headgasket that is just a mm or 2 thicker makes it only last 1/10-1/20th the amount of time as the stock headgasket. I mean really, sit back and ask yourself that and it'll seem absurd to even think it.

What if Rob is right, which I'm sure he is. The problem is only going to continue to happen and you will continue to throw money into replacing the hg time after time. Regardless you should make sure there is not another issue accruing.

Pass- Sorry to hear about your woes.. When was the last time the coolant level in the rad and overflow was checked? Did you properly warm the car up before you took your buddy for a spin?

You guys and this HG debate.. LOL... I have yet to see a physically failed 3mm HG, i have seen lifted/warped heads due to overheating but never a destroyed gasket. I'm talking about the Inline Pro 3mm not the Cometic gaskets. Was AusS2000's a IP 3mm??

and.... Soul Coughing is not a good example of gasket life. He drives his car harder in those 20k then most of us would in 100k Reborn56 got 20k + out of his 3mm HG and it only failed because the body shop improperly bleed the coolant system. It would still be going strong if it weren't for that.
