Wrapping the mani in DEI heatwrap also does wonders for coolant temp. My sheepey was wrapped and I never had any issues keeping the coolant temp under 189. I run schmuck mani now that I haven't warped yet, with the A/C on, even when driving down the highway the car temps will continue to rise to overheating until I turn the AC off.

I use to have this issue with being turbo with the mishimoto radiator and fans. Even since i went with the my sideways dual pass radiator and spal fans the car stays much cooler
they got a direct replacement where the mitsu fans go? |

Mishimoto shroud can be cut to fit 13" spal fans search around i had seen some great setups

its pretty tight in there... probably go with direct drop in, and see what kinda temps i get.

So after some data logging today with ambient temps at around 107, I looked over the logs and have my intake temps hovering between 120-130 and my coolant temps peaked at 218 on a lengthy uphill with the AC on from the moment I got in the car. Definitely gonna upgrade to SPAL fans soon, is there a direct drop in for oem mounting holes (don’t mind rewiring to battery)? |
Warning do not get mishimoto fans! Will be posting results here later but i did a comparison between spal and mishimoto 12" fans and basically spal fans flow more air. Are quieter, and are slimmer!

they got a direct replacement where the mitsu fans go? I put the stock passenger fan back on and got a SPAL extreme fan for the driver side. 0 issues with cooling (and I'm using a water to oil cooler so my water side is heavily tasked). |
I just switched to mr sideways radiator and spal thIn fans. I’m still having cooling issues. I don’t think it’s bled right as it heats up to 218+ when it’s 90+ degrees outside with ac on and not much load. As soon as I stop at a light it drops back down. Very frustrating. But we do like the quality of the parts. |
