could inlinepro make a top mount manifold?
this is a question for Ya or inlinepro in general.
Rather than messing with a stainless manifold that WILL eventually crack, i would rather get a reliable and proven cast manifold, but i would like a top mount. My quesiton is if there is a reason why inlinepro or anyone for that matter hasnt made a cast topmount maifold? and if there was a demand could inline make it happen?

Hello Guys,
We can definately do it. It is not a problem for us to fabricate or design a cast for a manifold.
THe issue to us is what is practical and safe. The way we have the downpipe right now, it does not create a lot of heat towards the a/c lines or the battery area. The turbo is also NOT in those areas where heat could be a problem.
We can always do a one off manifold, top mount style, but we would only recomend it for racing uses only.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree, the inline design is great for getting the turbo away from the heat sensative stuff, just thought it may be interesting to see what you'd come up with.

you can do a one off cast!!?? how much will that run? i was planning to relocate the battery and fuse box or maybe push the fuse box to the side and make new a/c lines. but for my plans to do a V-mount, a top mount turbo seems ideal. if the manifold came with appropriate mounting points a heat shield could be made to protecto the fuse box.
