Thanks Sideways, so I just change the stock pcv to a supra one and call it a day?
That's about it.

Bob,

That part should work but I would go back to the threads with it and verify first. When you find the thread post up a reference here. I have not done this mod.

If it is not usable you are not out much.

Happy boosting to all.

Thanks so much sideways

Just to confirm on my AP1, it's the one towards the back of the block ie the pcv on an elbow connection that I replace with a supra one?

The front breather pipe from the block to intake just leave alone?

Think I'm starting to understand now, the stock pcv is too weak and will allow flow in both directions, whilst supra one is stronger thus holds up to boost and only allows in one direction?

I bought the Supra pcv a while ago. it is larger than the stock one and needs larger hoses to fit or something right?

Some people have PCV issues with FI, some don't.

I ran the supra PCV inline with my stock PCV with a breather filter on the front port and still experienced pressure at 18 psi of boost. To combat this, I've welded -10 bungs on my VC and added a breather tank to help alleviate some of the pressure. I will be reinstalling this next weekend and will post up some detailed pics.

If you want some ideas, search "catch can" in the FI forum - there's two threads full of people's catchcan/breather tank setups.

I was thinking about removing the one closest to the firewall, and putting in a fitting, but not welding it.

So your saying that pipe is just venting to atmosphere and it works fine?

Yep, both ports off the valve cover vent to atmosphere.

id personally have breathers on the vent holes so nothing gets sucked back up somehow...but to each their own, valve cover looks nice
