Default CT supercharger reference thread

Former KW kit owner, getting a CT kit next week. I've searched, and anything about the kits is really old / outdated. Just trying to start a general discussion on them. My kit will be a 1200 oil-fed @ 10psi. How are people's experiences with the tensioning system?

I ran a comptech N1000 so if you have any general questions feel free to pm me. I didn't have a issue with the tension setup, but you have to remove the air box to tighten the belt. Other than that I ran a 3" pulley 15psi no issues

Has the tensioning system been updated or is it the same as the ol n1000 kits? I always disliked that.

it is the same, but I'm not 100% on how it works. I see that the arm comes in and tightens the belt, but how do you place the force on the arm?

I stick the handle of a 3/8 breaker bar between the idler pulley and one of the mounting brackets, apply a bit of leverage against the belt, and tighten the tensioner bracket bolt down. Seems to have worked fine for me thus far.
