4060390 will fit better.

I tried the 4060400 and it was too loose.

I'd go with the 4060390.

with a 3.875" pulley would the 4060390 still be fine? didnt see anything for that size and im guessing the 3.5" belt will be too short.
CHRIS.

You would need either a 4060390 or 4060385. I would say 4060390 is your best bet.

What happens when you run a belt thats too loose? I think I may have this problem. I have the 7psi pulley and my friend has the stock 5. We ran last night and he pulled on me pretty good. the only other difference is that he has a mugen exhaust and i have a crappy custom one that may be leaking. Could a loose belt cause me to lose? I felt that i wasnt spooling fast enough, we would run form about 40-100 and it seemed that he was shifting sooner than i was. We are both AP1's hes 00 im 01 and I believe he is tuned, I'm not.

You will lose power. Happened to me when my belt became loose. Tightened the tensioner and all was well with the world again.

The wierd this is my gauge says im still getting the full 7lbs, but it seems to take forever to get up there. I bought the kit used and Im not sure if the guy changed the belt when he went from the 5 to 7 pulley. I think I will buy the right one just in case. But could that realy make me lose that much power? enough to get walked by a 5lbs setup?
