Default CTSC need rebuild/service?

Hi guys,

I have an 03 with a CTSC w/AC. The blower has a good 70-90k miles on it now, and recently, its getting pretty noisy at high rpms. It sounds like the old familiar whining, just magnified 20x. Is this an indication that the blower is wearing out, or someting else? Also, if it is time to service the blower, can anyone offer up any recommendations and what price I should expect to pay?

Thanks in advance.

90k miles is a lot for the blower.. a rebuild would be good to be on the safe side

Get the blower polished. Will make it 0 miles. That is ALOT of miles...Price is hard to estimate, maybe someone more experienced can help with the pricing...

Lol, I dont know the exact definition of being "polished". But when a cars motor is "polished" it only costs a couple hundred to do so, and it makes your car go back to 0 miles (brand new motor). BUT, taking it the MOTOR OUT is what kills you with labor. The polishing itself doesnt cost much. So getting a motor polished is basically like cleaning it up, etc. I really dont know the exact steps for polishing....

So really you have no idea what you are talking about.

Just get it rebuilt. That will make it good as new. I just had mine done by supercharger rebuilds too. Haven't reinstalled it yet, but it should be fine. Fast turn around.
