Thumbs up CTSC questions

Hi guys,

I am thinking about buying a CTSC from a member. He has a 2005 AP2 with 7psi pulley. I guess my question is will the kit work on my 2002 AP1? Do I need to change anything?

Thanks in advance

I don't remember the specifics but I don't think it will work. You can put the ap2 pulley on the ap1 comptech, but I don't think you can just use an ap2 kit on an ap1 car.

Might be wrong though. I had a CTSC 2000 s2k, it was fun. Wish I had kept it instead of buying the evo. The evo sucked so now I'm driving an altima for a couple of years (punishment for getting rid of the s2k )

the kit will work, you're just going to be producing more than 7 psi at 9k rpms with that pulley

Yep - and you'll need to make sure you're not leaning out the AFR too much.

I see. Thanks a lot guys.

I was worried about the stock AP2 FMU won't work on AP1s...

I'd prob just get a stock boost belt.

No - you need to match the belt to the SC pulley you'll be running. It's hard enough keeping the tension right when they're properly mated.

So make sure and install a wide band guage so you can always see what your afr's are doing. $300 is a cheep investment if it means saving your motor. Its the single most important guage to run when fi, everything else comes second in comparison.

You can run a 4.2" pully max with stock fuel injectors and maxing out your fpr. Thats about 6.5 - 7psi. 7psi pully on an ap2 is likely a 4" and will be about 8psi on yours, don't run it. get the proper pulley. The SC kit itself is the same.

Forgot about the injectors - and the AEM EMS.

It's been a while.
