Default ctsc spark plug issue?

When i get to around 4500 to 5000 rpm no matter what gear, the car sounds like it is not firing. once i get past this point, it is okay.

my gut tells me it is a spark plug issue.

currently i am running ngk 7173 at a .034 gap.

any recommendations or ideas?

so youre getting break-up between 4500-5k?

how old are the plugs?

change 'em out and see if it goes away. if so, cool. if not, time for more diagnosing and more info on the car.

the plugs are 2 days old...
pulled them and checked, them no visible issues.

now, i havent had the fuel pressure tuned yet, that could be a potential issue.

the ctsc kit does require messing with the FPR. it comes ready to go. does your kit have the missing link or the ESM?

did you install the fuel pump correctly. and have you measured the voltage at the pump. it could be leaning out, doesnt have to be going rich.

i did not measure the voltage. That could be the issue, but if so, wouldnt it happen all over the rpm range, not just specifically from 45 to 5?

also, when you got your kit, did you use the weird angled walbro pickup filter or the oem one?
