Default CTSC and traction

I haven't been able to find an answer so I figured I'd ask. To those with a CTSC (or VTSC), do you have any traction problems in low gears, ie standing starts and 2nd gear acceleration from 25-30mph? This is assuming reasonable temps (50-70 degrees) and tires (OEM or Better). My last car was a stage 2 CTSC RSX Type S, and I really don't wanna go back to having 1st and 2nd gear being useless again!

I think you may want to lose the final drive or get a less aggressive one...

thanks for the input, wingnut! Is this from direct experience or are you assuming? I'm assuming the same thing, but I love the gears!

My buddy had no traction problems at all with his vortech SC. Maybe in first gear you punch it at 6k rpms but they don't make enough torque to get the wheels spinning once the car is moving unless you have some crappy tires or are pushing more then stock boost.

nice. I would probably keep it at stock boost, but we've all said that before!

from what I understood the supercharger didn't make the torque to really cause trouble in lower gears, I also thought there were a lot of supercharged owners that had it with gears and were particularly satisfied...

for reference im running boost through my 4.57 gears, granted im not drag racing but traction issues are a matter of how far my right foot is from my hip...

I here ya, but I would like to retain my ability to go WOT at anytime. I would be satified with only another 30-40 horses, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it with this car. Go big or go home, I guess

I have vortech on stock boost w/ the stock 4.1's so might be too relevant but i only lose traction if im gunning it in 1st,2nd or 3rd when its raining or tires are cold otherwise i dont lose traction.

i'm vortech'd and 4.77... no traction problems at all.. (may need a new clutch though. lol) During the winter times once in a while it breaks loose, for the most part its not a problem though. (wish i had that problem though. haha)
