Default custom heat sheild

what would i make a custom heat shield out of? I moved the battery to the trunk, and turned the fuse box, and before i put the turbo in i wantted to make a custom heat shield. my other question is can i use the stock one if i turn it around or does it only work one way?

Aluminum is the best for quick heat soak and heat disipation.

i would think a metal with low thermal conductivity works best as a heat shield. aluminum would not be the best choice because it would soak the heat up and radiate it to whatever you are protecting. try stainless. although stainless will hold heat longer. maybe titanium?
