Talking Decided to go turbo...

For those who may have seen a thread I posted a few weeks back, I was going to get a CTSC for my MY06 S2000. In fact, I was #2 on the waiting list! After talking with other boosted S2000 owners, track junkies, etc. I determined that the CTSC wasn't what I was really looking for. Well, I am very happy to report that I ordered the inlinePRO turbo kit on Thursday. The kit shipped out yesterday and will arrive by November 27th. Here is a list of what I ordered:

In preparation for going boost, I've already done the following mods:

ACT PP, Comptech flywheel, OEM disk
Defi Control Unit II, Defi boost gauge, Defi oil pressure gauge

Since the MY06 has a returnless fuel system, and is limited to around 8-9 psi of boost, my intention is to initially run ~8 psi. Sometime next year I am going to have the fuel system converted to a return fuel system, will either get the inlinePRO 3mm headgasket or upgraded pistons/rods/etc, and then crank the boost!

Can't wait to join the ranks of all you boosted folks!

i still remember the first day i boosted my b18c... the initial feeling of watching the revs climb to redline when boost hits is amazing

good luck with your kit, i'm assuming you have the AEM cause you dont mention any fuel management but i see you are getting 880cc's which are pretty huge if i say so myself

The oil relocation kit is suposed to be included in the kit now. Why did they charge you an extra 200 for it?

I used to have an AEM EMS, but I sold it to Phillie and he is using it with his LoveFab turbo kit. I have another form of EMS, but I am not at liberty to discuss what it is until I get the go ahead. inlinePRO recommended that I go with the 880cc injectors, and the shop that is doing the install thought that was a good idea too. I haven't ordered their 3mm headgasket yet because I will only be running ~8 psi and won't need it until I up the boost.

They only included that kit for a limited time. Cost of parts have gone up, and they cannot afford to include the kit for free. It's all good--their prices are very reasonable.

Sweet! That is what I really wanted to avoid--spending a lot of money on the CTSC only to decide to go turbo later.
