Default DIY Modified Crank Pulley

Any tips on drilling/tapping the OEM crank pulley for the s/c pulley?

Im sure it cant be much harder than just centering and levelling up the pulley, and drilling with a drill press so the holes are straight, then tapping them out right?

It'll be for a Vortech system. Any input ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

have a machine shop do it...if its not perfectly centered it will un balance your entire rotating assembly.....bye bye main bearings!

I had mine done by a friend who has a nice mill/drill setup. Just measured up and programmed and it did the holes at 60 degree increments.

Might as will do it properly.

You need someone competent with a drill press and tap. Machine shop is the best bet. I've done one myself.

Yeah, I think we will just be finding an already drilled one.

I forgot that little side effect of the main bearings

I drilled and tapped mine, no problems so far with over 3k miles. The vortech adapter pulley will line itself up on the crank pulley, or at least mine did.
