does anyone know what kind of WTQ these clutches will hold? I ask because I don't want to much clutch for my power but I don't want to have to change it out again.

CC 6 puck 1680= 175% increase so ~265wtq
CC 6 puck 1620= 250% increase so ~375wtq
CC 4 puck 1420= 300% increase so ~450wtq
CC Twin disk
SOS Twin disk

Im guessing when they say 200% over stock then they mean ~300wtq and 300% means ~450wtq? I'm I looking at this right?

You could throw an ACT 6 puck sprung disk on your setup to save money and it will hold 470wtq.

wow they changed there whole site now my clutch only says 375TQ not 390TQ and the 6 puck shows 475TQ not 390TQ. I wonder what made them change the ratings?

do you think my PP is still good? heck it only has ~2K miles on it.

Here's the short of it.

4 puck will hold and drive like crap compared to stock.
6 puck is a waste.
Twin when money is no problem will drive great and hold. And I believe is rebuild able!!!

Screw puck go twin.

Your PP should be fine. If a 6puck meets your needs then it isnt a waste. engagement wouldnt be as bad as a 4 puck.

But if money isnt a factor then go for the twin disk, I use SOS twin. but dont expect it to start out butter smooth like oem/single ACT. There is a bit of shudder when rolling out of a stop and engagement is somewhere between oem and puck style (on/off switch)

do you feel like you made the right move going with a twin over a 6 puck? I am near the same power as you.

Also I can tell there are 3 different types of twins:
The normal CC Twin Disk ~400 dollars...no flywheel & ?? Disks
The InlinePro CC Twin Disk ~1700 dollars...steel flywheel & Carbon Disks
The SOS Twin Disk ~2400 dollars...steel flywheel & Carbon Disks

What is the differance between the 3?? We are talking a ~1300-2000 dollars differance between the three over a 6 puck disk is only ~150 bucks...But I don't want to have to do this again for a while.

I believe CC twin disk requires a push to pull conversion using Nissan parts = more labor. I've havent driven one but my buddy had it and I just tested the pedal effort and it was kind of heavy. Also CC twin uses plain metal disks along with carbon disks where as SOS is carbon everything. They say the metal disks can warp under high heat but the guys that do run it havent said anything about that so I would think its ok.

I know a couple guys on the 6 puck with a lot more torque then you and have been down the strip a couple times with no problems at all.
Some say it drives like shit others say its near OEM so I guess its all skill and preference

The push to pull conversion is very simple. When I installed my comp twin it came with the release bearing that sits behind the clutch disks. Inline sells them but I got mine directly from Comp. I dont know where you got the normal cc twin for $400? The disks are very cheap to rebuild as well

thats what I was quoted for a CC twin I was amazed when I got the quote so I had to ask for sure. Also can a ACT prolite flywheel be resurfaced and reused on the twin disk?
