Im having the same problem...i ordered a brand new sending unit from honda installed it still doesnt give me the correct reading...i take it out the tank and move the level up slowly it work fine...i put it back in the tank goes back to the same level it always stay at..removed it again re position the float now it shows empty..took it back out put the old hanger back in to make sure im putting the float in the right direction thats not thw problem either so right now im 100 percent lost on what the problem could be...another thought i was having is that the float is getting cought up on something in the tank...might take it apart again this weekend to look in the tank
