Default E-manage Blue Help

I have tried to install the E-manage into my car without success. All the wiring, jumpers and rotary switches are correct as per Stratocaster's recent thread and the e-manage checklist in the FAQs. However, I keep getting a CEL (P1259) which indicates a VTEC system malfunction. Any ideas?

Are you using the VTEC Frog quick connect adapter?

This happened to me. At the far end of the VTEC Frog harness, closest to the fire wall you should have a blue wire that you didn't connect. I think it's blue. All you need to do is connect that wire into the correct wire on the factory harness going into the ECU. You don't have to cut the factory wire, just put one of those red clamp on connectors that makes the connection without cutting the wire.

That should fix it.

  1. Check to make sure the VTech solenoid is connected under the hood.
  2. You need to check the VTM (BLU) lead and make sure it is connected correctly The Long connector side should have no connection and the Blue connector should be connected.
  3. check to make sure you wired the VTS correctly

I had this problem when I was testing my harness before I spliced in the e-Manage harnesses. My harness was straight through and the VTM wire was the only one disconnected. There was not a pin on the long connector so I had no choice.

I just took another look and that is exactly how it is wired.

There is no pin for the VTM wire C10 on the long harness.

Exactly the way it is in the diagram. Long harness to yellow, the other side to light blue. I will double check again.
