Watch your EGT's and be sure to allow the car to run for a LONG period before you shut it down. High EGT due to excessive valve overlap is, I think, a potential issue for the longevity of the your center cartridge. I fussed with my turbo kit for 3 1/2 years before calling it quits and selling the car. A lot of the ideas that Wael used -- including water cooling and the C&R radiator (hopefully, he bought the one that Giles Gilbert and I spec'ed out that includes an integrated oil cooler) likely came from the setup I (and others, like Giles) worked out. In any case, good luck.

I could have sworn the first pic I saw of his had a stock looking intake box design(red colored), is the out now? I remember they thought about making one in carbon fiber.

Also I'm curious as to what kind of numbers this kit is putting down. Right now I'm all about the lovefab kit, and am thinking of going with that, but I love the idea of the front mount turbo set-up. I won't lie the air to water thing is making me not want it.

If you combine the two it simply looks like one has covers, and the other is showing its guts...

= This one...

Both the Intercooler (Black part in the picture) and the intake cover (Red in the pic) have both been changed. Both were changed becasue of space and fitment.

As for numbers, I still need to get it tuned. My real job has been eating all my time and I just took care of the electical issues to get the fuel managment working right, so I am now ready for the dyno and tuning.

There is a few things that Wael is not happy with, and the intake is one of them. But we are moving forward with the air to water design at this point. Maybe later down the road we will look at air to air, but with the air to water setup, we get to cool the turbo as well with it. That is a good thing for long term reliability and that is what we are shooting for. Long term reliability and driveability. Not max power.

Good luck. I've sold my car and am moving on, so I'm not following this as closely. Glad that SOMEONE's got this worked out, as I believe it's an issue for longevity.

that's right I forgot the turbo is cooled by both oil and water, correct? Hope all works out, and I'm hoping the smaller probs are worked out soon.
