Call Comptech, or look for another source for AN fittings. Earls, Russell, Aeroquip. Etc.

Same thing happened with my friends comptech (overtightened it). We found them at a local speed shop and ordered a couple from Comptech and had them in 2-3 days. Good luck!

Hard as a rock....

Should I give it a chance?

Not unless your willing to risk the s/c and the engine, get off your butt and check the local speed shops or overnight one from Comptech.

I bought a replacement for that part from comptech for $20. The only reason I did it was because I noticed a little wear on the threads around the 4th oil change. I figure I won't need to replace it for another year, but figured I should have one around "just in case".

Not "too" hard...

BTW, the 14mm to -8 is NOT A STANDARD SIZE! Comptech had these made for our kit! Be aware a this part is nowhere to be found in the Aeroquip catalog...

**** Update ****

Well, I put together a list of all the speed shops in town last night, and started calling them at 8AM... At around 10, Titan Motorsports picked up and said to try Hydraulic Equipment (business in Orlando)...

So I called them... They had a 14mm to -6 AN connector (I needed an -8... ), but he thought we could figure something out... I sped over there... (Not really, I was in my Mom's caravan, LOL)...

What I ended up getting was a 14mm (1.5 pitch, same as the drainbolt) to -6 AN connector... They didn't have a -6 to -8 adapter, but they DID have a -6 to -8 90degree adapter... So I bought that...

Fearing that the oil return line which has a 90 degree connector on it already, would have a compatibility problem with my new 90 degree adapter-- I also bought a Straight -8 AN hose end... I didn't end up needing it, but I thought better safe than sorry...

I got home, it took 10 minutes to get it all together! DONE!
I did have to finagle the return line a little to get it to line up, but it worked!

I think I may just leave it like this, but Comptech will send me a new -8 to 14mm connector for $20 + shipping...
