Default EMS 1052

Hey guys, I'm SC'd and I just bought a 1052 (no U). My Q's:

1. I didn't get a wideband. Once Inline Pro tunes my car will the car be able to sense seasonal changes (big temp swings, etc.) and compensate accordingly without a wideband or should I get the UEGO for piece of mind?

2. Inline Pro suggests getting the car tuned seasonally to prevent any issues with the big temp swings. Do you boosted EMS guys do the same thing?

Thanks!

J

1. If tuned properly, the EMS can deal with seasonal changes.
2. It is a good idea to have another look at the fueling when the weather changes to adjust the intake air temperature compensation.

You should be able to get things VERY close on the first tune. The second tune should just verify that the first was good with a quick a/f ratio check. If anything is off, DO NOT ADJUST THE FUEL TABLE. Only adjust the modifiers. IAT vs fuel is one of those things that can be modeled quite closely without much trouble.

Tim,

Thanks very much for the response! I'll keep everything you said in my little car note file on my desktop.

Cheers,

Jorge
