Default Engine block coolant pipe thread

Anyone know the size of this coolant pipe that threads straight to the block? It has a long barb, trying to get a new one that is shorter. (The extra inch or 2 pushes it out toward my turbo manifold)

You could always just plug it.

You can cut and weld it to make a plug.

Here is the link to the plug you need. It’s number 4 in the photo.

So its M18X1.0 thanks guys. Wish someone sold an M18X1.0 Male to 1/2" barb in 90 degrees wouldve cleaned up the engine bay perfectly.

So what i ended up doing is just tightening the coolant bolt (there is plenty of space for it to go further into the block) and that moved the hose ever so slightly closer to the block. (Top is before bottom picture is after. Just tighten until all the threads go into the block use thread sealant of course)
