At this time, i cant afford an AEM EMS for my turbo s2k, what other cheaper but good ems' out there?

 

Emanage Ultimate, is the only affordable, reliable and well used one I know of

 

Someone just had a used 1012 for 900 bucks.

 

I got an emanage ultimate i could sell you if your interested.

 

AEM FIC - some tuners would argue this to be a superior processor to the Greddy Emanage line up. Picked mine up for $260 used, though it was brand new never installed. It developed a bad rep early on due to its earlier software programing designed for AP2's,which was problematic for Ap1's, its since been rectified for Ap1's. I'm going in for tuning this Saturday on my 10 psi CTAC kit. I'll let you know how it goes. My tuner prefers the AEM FIC over the Emanage. Who ever tunes your car and what they recommend is something you should be considering above all else. Your success lies in their hands, you should provide a device that they are confident in tuning.

im going to tell u this.. u get what u paid for.. dont cheap out on the type of EMS u use cause a little extra could help you out instead of having a cheap one blow your shit up

 

People have ran the emanage and other less expensive ems's for years without problems.

 

a $1,000 AEM is cheaper than blowing a motor, don't go cheap on your tuning tool

 

Yep, besides most of us still have to take emission testing. Piggy backs are still a viable source for reliable engine management. Who you have tuning them is the most important part of the equation.
