Default equ117's build thread

Hey guys! Excited I am finally able to share my own build thread with you guys! This build means a lot to me. I've been building Hondas and wrenching on cars for some time now. Built a lot of cars for friends but never my own. ASE certified Technician is my daily grind. This is #2 s2000 for me. First was a Rio AP2. I purchased my 02 ap1 through my work roughly 10 months ago. Pretty good deal and she wasn't in to bad of shape though the car I could tell was neglected. Felt kinda good to save this bad boy in a way. I have been collecting parts since I purchased my car. The car will be on E85 and shooting for 600whp+. This car will be a product of myself. I do all my own work.

I apologize if the thread is kind of dry and brief. Just going to try and quickly fill in the gaps. Once this thread is caught up Ill be detailed on the build!

Here is kinda a run down on my set up...

Sheepey T3 44mm forward facing manifold w/ down pipe and dump tube
Precision ball bearing 6266 .82 a/r
Precision 46mm wastegate
Precision 600hp intercooler
Tial Q 50mm BOV
GO Autoworks all black oil line kit

Hondata KPro
Hondata boost solenoid
Hondata 4 bar map sensor
Hondata intake manifold gasket

Walbro 400 E85 fuel pump
Radium Engineering fuel rail kit
Aem fuel pressure regulator
Fuel Injector Development 2000cc (still need to purchase)

Competition Clutch Stg 4
Innovative Motor mounts
Innovative diff mounts

These pictures are from 10 months ago and Ill fast forward to where the car sits today. I expect to have the car done in roughly 2 months. Lets do this...on to the pictures

When I first found her on the lot...2002 Sebring Silver with 87K. The car already had "naked" ap1 head lights and an Ap2 front bumper. Needs some TLC on the exterior yet lol

Pictures of my first s2000. When I fell in love with the chassis. I was sad to let this one go

Very first parts I had coming were my Sheepey Inc. Manifold, down pipe, & dump tube combo

The clutch was about out of her when i got it so I ordered up a CC stage 4 clutch along with the essentials. I used new Genuine Honda TOB and Pilot bearing.

Flywheel was still in excellent shape so I opted to have it machined.

I went for Hondata KPro. KPro and all conversion pieces

My buddy gave me a deal on his PTE 600hp intercooler. $120. Was lightly used and in great shape!

The car still had original engine mounts in her that were dead for a long long time. I dropped in Innovate engine, trans and diff mounts. Shifting and driveaility improved so much. The car was so much more enjoyable drive.

I am originally from Wisconsin. At this point I was living and working in Tampa, Florida. I was there for roughly a year. I missed home and fortunately I was able to get a transfer back to my home town in Wisconsin. So myself and the car are now in Wisconsin. Pictures of the car on the Uhaul in Tennessee

After settling back into Wisconsin I got her into the garage and got to work! My view for this build is a simplistic yet potent car. I intend to keep the bay very simple and down to the essentials. With that said I intend to ditch a lot of the unnecessary components under the hood. I will also be wire tucking the passenger side of the bay.

My buddies turbo K24/k20 EP3 I built. old set up laid down 420whp/360trq This ones under the knife also.

Appears at some point in time the car had a leaking battery in it. Ate my paint up in the corner of the bay

After doing a little cleaning of the surface rust & the Pass. side of the bay.

Im going to give this stuff a try. Paint in rattle can form along with some clear. Body shop guy at my work showed me some results hes had with it. I figure should look decent for a summer until I have the bay & car resprayed.

Sebring Silver in rattle can spray....

Pretty clean for 90K!

I picked me up a new daily. Really happy with this car. 2013 Accord LX-S coupe. Brand spankin new. Nighthawk blue pearl!!!

The car has mostly been sitting with no parts on it as I want to spray the bay. I've just been waiting on warm weather to paint. As of right now the bay is rather bare and I've just been collecting parts. Almost done with all of my purchases. Heres some of the parts...

Ball bearing 6266 T3 .82a/r Vband

science of speed gauge pod with Prosport boost gauge & Innovate wideband. I think the color scheme came out pretty well and should match the ap1 dash trim spot on

That should bring everyone up to speed lol. The car currently sits on jack stands and has no parts hung on her yet. I've just been collecting parts and waiting for warm weather. I'm not in a hurry. Shouldn't take too long to complete the car and get it on the dyno once i start wrenching.

Yesterday I ordered:

Black Tial Q 50mm BOV
12" slim fan
All black complete turbo oil line kit from Go Autoworks http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-7680467..._2267_42373955

Radium Engineering fuel rail kit with fuel pressure gauge.
http://www.radiumauto.com/Fuel-Rail-...0-05-P362.aspx

I got the hose kit which replaces the oem banjo fitting feed. I intended to keep it simple and run stock rail...but the previous owner/Dingus rigged my fuel feed line so that needed to be replaced. he also damaged my banjo fitting along with the fuel pulse dampener. So I'm just replacing everything...

This is my list of what is to be done/purchased lol. Some items have been checked off.

Seeing as most of my spending is already done Im looking into drivetrain options. Ill probably throw a Ford 8.8 rear end at the car sometime this summer. Then next winter hopefully get a V160 and twin disc.

From here on out Ill be on top of the build thread. Warm weather is right around the corner! Thanks guys hope you enjoy!
