Basically, yes. You need the content analyzer gauge, flex fuel sensor, some hose and such depending on your fuel setup. I still have stock lines so I just put my flex fuel sensor before the regulator in the driver side of the engine bay, grabbed some rubber hose and barb fittings and that was it. Then you just have to wire the gauge up and the sensor to the ecu.

Why do you wire it up to th ecu? I'm running the full blown complete fuel system. So fb dual pumps, regator, filter, -10 feed, -8 return. I didn't know stock we had a regulator.

they have a kit on the zeitronix site that comes with the ethanol content analyzer, flow through flex fuel sensor, and harness, all for $379. Is this all we need?

So what do you guys do with the info from the ECA? Is it used to adjust the tune? And how?

Im assuming you normally do a tune on either 93 or e85 right? And upload the correct map with a small laptop to the aem series 2 when you fill her up at the gas station?

I would love to see an ability to switch easily between e85/93 with the switch of a button.. But i dont know how the tune will be affected if you get different mixtures due to leftovers in the tank..

Yeah I'm wondering what you tap into the ecu? I am using flashpro and have a drain on my regulators fuel return to drain the tank.

A new firmware is scheduled to be released soon for the series 2 that will have flex fuel capabilities. I believe you will need to use a GM flex fuel sensor with their stuff. Once this is released you can set the tune up to run with any percentage of ethanol without having to upload a new tune or flip a switch. It will trim fuel, timing, and boost.

Does flashpro have any intentions of doing flex fuel?

I doubt they will. This would require additional tables to be added that are not already there in the oem code.
