Default exhaust cut-out with supercharger

I'm thinking about going the stock exhaust route because I like the price and sound. Currently I have a horrible no name single exit. I want a waist gate activated cut out to open up at full boost only. But I have been reading that you will lose HP with high flowing exhaust and what flows more than a cut out lol. I'm at 347 whp 18 psi on a comptech kit.

thanks

How are you getting 18 psi on a Comptech kit? 18 psi should be 447 rwhp unless you are massively over spinning your snail and going hot.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. IMHO free flowing exhaust will open up power.

I don't know but it made 18 psi at 92000 rpm on a pull on the dyno dynamics. tuner loosened the belt to 11 psi and it made 325whp. He said I needed meth to run 18 psi safely. That's what I thought about forced induction to, less restriction is always better.

Thinking about doing a cut out and using meth hopefully get 350 whp + with out pushing my snail too much.

Tightening and loosening the belt is not the way to adjust boost. It just wears out the belt when it slips. Changing the pulley size is the proper way to do it.

Let us know about your cut out when done.

I tried this, but it was too loud for my taste. I have a SP 2.5" cutout with Y-pipe that I'll get rid of for cheap. It bolts on to the stock header and exhaust.

No way your running 18psi with the stock comptech blower. That would be a tiny tiny pulley overdoing the blower big time. What size pulley do you have? And loosening the belt to lower the boost level is a terrible idea. I'd never bring my car to a shop that did that again.
14 psi with comptech should get you right around 400whp.
