Red face Exhaust Idea

Here's the exhaust I plan on making for my turbo. I would like your input:

Supplies to be used:
Mufflers- HKS Hi-Power 2.5in inlet
Magnaflow 2x 2.5in IN 1x 3in OUT Y-Pipe
Ebay 3in x 14in Resonator

Basically I want it to be a 3in resonator into a Y pipe which brings it down into 2 2.5in pipes into 2Hks hi-power mufflers.

What do you think? I'm wanting to make it pretty quiet but still better power than stock.

I should run a CFD analysis on that setup.

The 2.5" will restrict some power. I know swapping out a true 3" dual to a UR 3" dual with 2.5" tips caused another car to underboost/loose power.

It depends how much you want out of it.

That is the same idea I had for exhaust.
I thought 3 in would be too much being that I want to stay dual outlets

I did the same thing but stayed 3" all the way. Make the cans 4" and the tips 3.5" and call it a day

Not if he runs 2 1/2 after the split, duel 2.5 flows better than a single 3". Mufflers might have played a part in decrease in power, but not the piping.

yes 2 2.5 will have more actual area inside the pipe for exhaust to frlow but you have to look at the routing if there are alot of bends than the exhaust will have more backpressure, i logged exhaust backpressure from a dual3---2.5 setup, then a single 3 and backpressure dropped due to the fact the 3 in single will go straight out the back with maybe 2 30 degree bends in the whole system

I'm only going to run 7-8psi. I am going to use the MagnaFlow Y-Pipe as seen here:
