Default A/F gauge wiring

two quick questions for you guys before I wire up my gauge this weekend. Which wire off the ecu can I pick up a o2 reading off of? Also I need 2 power wire sources, any wires you guys to recommend to tap off? like the radio (+) wire?

Are you using a wideband?? You shouldn't have to tap into the ECU at all. You need to run a new sensor to you downpipe/test pipe. If you are using a narrow band like the factory ecu already uses, you are wasting your time. It won't be accurate enough to use. It will just look cool.

Well I have a wideband but that going to be a seperate install. This is actually the useless guage im trying to wire up

There are three ports under the dash that you can take 12v from. Constant power, ignition, and lights. Use the ignition port. (I forget exactly which one is what) Just crimp a male connector onto the wire and slide it onto the port. I'm sure someone here has a pic of it that they can show you.

That's the middle one. They are kinda countersunk in the fuseblock, under dash, on the side. They are flat male, you need flat female connectors on your wire, buy them at autoparts, and please install an inline 5A fuse!

And the constant on is the one closer to the front of the car. Check with a voltmeter.

Thanks for the help but I have no ides what your talking about, I hate doing anything electrical haha...I have to take a look to maybe understand.....anyone have a picture they can post?

You may want to take your car to a shop to make the electrical connections for you if you are having trouble following that. Good luck!

naa I'd just be more confident if I went by a graph or knew the wire colors....i'd never pay a shop to do something like that for me.


if anyway can can a pic please post it would be greatly appriciated

also if anyone knows which color wire I can read a/f off of I need that

when i wired in the wideband on my other car i used an add a circuit. it's fully reversible when an un-install is necessary...

those add a circuits i bought at pepboys, not sure if autozone, oreillys, or walmart carries them though...
