Default F1 with AC ON

Hi All:

LA is getting hot. Over the weekend, I switched the AC ON and noticed a sudden drop on power. It was an easy 25-35% of the boost evaporated. In addition, the gas mileages was also suffering.

Do any of you guys experience the same issue?

By the way, since I went F-1, I never switched the AC ON...

That is NO where near being true.

At most 5-10whp. We actually tried this out one time on a dyno and lost 5whp

Was this with a S2000 and the stock ECU?

Aircon clutch is disengage during VTEC. What you are seeing is from power loss in the low rpm range

Its been tested multiple times that having the AC on reduces mpg on average about ~15-20%. I've done my own testing with our civic and those numbers hold true approximately. As far as the s2k, I don't use the AC so it doesn't matter anyway.

As honda9krpm said, AC is disabled under WOT anyway so not that any of this is relevant anyway.
