You never read anything from me making a statement like that. But I will tell you this, if I can get my car to hook on the drag radials, a high 10 is well within reach.

And the only thing about "9's" in this thread is related to compression ratios.

Edit: LOL - I missed the thing about the Geo Metro...

not 9, but 10, 11's.

not so difficult. you sit there and shift when you have to. what's so hard about that? You don't even have to turn and control your throttle.

I guess I could ask my friend to let me drive his 9 sec supra, but what's the point?

If I want a drag car, I would take a used Trans Am and stick twin turbo in it. It's be cheaper and faster at the end. That or mustang. It's even got a straight axle on the back, so you don't even have to work too hard.

You've apparently never ventured into the world of drag racing.

Take your friends 9 second Supra, go run it and get back with us. Let us know what kind of time you are able to get.

I've watched a single car... with the same driver run a 14.2 @ 132mph. Then the very next pass pull a 11.2 @ 132mph.

There is a lot more that comes into play with getting in the 10's and 11's than just shifting when you need to and hitting the gas.

whatever you say. I'm not gonna get in an argument online, since you don't know me, but honestly, you can't be anymore wrong about me.

I've drag raced since 1995, before I got out of it because it was boring and just expensive.

You drag race with this car:http://www.draglist.com/cgi-bin/artm...ive=13&num=918
s2k will never get to this level with f20 or even f22.
if you think adjusting for wheel spin during launch and shifting is hard, you don't need to talk to me.
there isn't that much into running 10's and 11's. Trust me. you dump money in your car enough, you'll go 10's and 11's.

Like I've been saying for years and years, drag racing is for fast cars, time attack, road racing, auto-x is for fast drivers. You're almost saying NASCAR takes more skills than Formula One racing.

anyone who says drag racing is difficult had never driven their car in a turn. If you could make a stock miata go faster than GT40 Evo at drag racing, I would be very very impressed and say you got some skills, but this doesn't ever happen. it's all about how much money you spend on your car.
