Which would be faster on the 1/4, a stock CtSc Kit with 4.56 gears or a vortech s/c s2k?

5psi w/ gears vs 7psi, seems like a logical question to me... I'd put $10 on the Vortech

 

It's not a bad question. The Vortech makes around 300-310, and the CT makes 270-285. I'd still give the CT with gears the advantage.

But, why the hell can't you just get gears and a VT? The VT is always cheaper.

 

hmm vortech, but why not up the boost to 7# and have more hp than the vortech

 

My money is on the comptech car.Put gears on the vortech car and it would win.

i had a stock comptech and ran a stock vortech numerous times with both equal drives and the comptech always was on top. Have any of you ever raced s/c for s/c??? When i had a stock comptech i raced venoumous s when he was around 12psi vortech and he beat me but not to bad. My stock comptech made 305whp with a single exhaust and vafc

 

and you quickly learned S/C can't compare to turboo

Well i would like comptech cuz i have a 06 s2k and i think their the only ones with the s/c kit out.

What does a stock comptech hit. What would a stock comptech with gears hit and what does a stock vortech hit? All 1/4.

So from what im reading this would be a very good race. Anyone have a stock comptech with gears?
