Thumbs up Few ?s UR turbo kit

I'm new to the forum. I introduced myself in the introductions forum if anyone was wondering.

To my questions.

I do not own a S2k yet but when I get mine its going turbo asap so I'm trying to do alot of research now and keep knowledgble about different products that are out there.

#1. I noticed on the Ultimate Racing turbo kit there is no fuel pump included but there is bigger 600cc injectors. I've read that the stock pump is a 190lphr. Is that good enough for 7.5 psi daily driven? Also whats the deal with 2.5" downpipe? From my past knowledge it seemed pretty stand issue when going turbo or upgrading a stock turbo car you go with atleast 3" downpipe. I noticed some other kits do and even as much as 4".

#2. The LoveFab GT1 kit i saw on their site was $7500. I couldnt really see what made this kit worth 2 grand more than really any of the other kits which seems to range from $4700-$5500. Why spend 2g more?

I've been reading alot in this forum and these are just a few things I was left wondering... Thanks guys,
Ryan

The Lovefab kit comes with a much better manifold, and an AEM EMS. That is the price diff. In addition, you receive a 3" downpipe, and a better turbo I think. BTW I have the UR kit.

If I'm only looking for between 300 and 400 to the wheels, would UR be the smarter buy for the money. Or would just general volumetric effeicency be much better and be better for the motor in the long run with the better manifold and management the LoveFab offers?

jbotstein, how do you like the UR ?

I cant answer your first questions. I got 281 whp with the UR kit and jsut a 2.5" exhaust. The car is very very fast with that much power, but you'll eventually want more and the Lovefab is easier to make more power with. I am running the EMS with my kit too. I got my kit before Lovefab had even come out, so I was only choosing between the UR kit and the Inline pro kit. I am very happy with the UR kit, however. I doubt you'd be disappointed with it.

I am running a gen II UR Turbo Kit and I have a 3" downpipe and exhaust and I am making 326WHP and 230WTQ...This is on a major conservative tune, but I didn't want to go to aggressive on my Greddy Emanage cause AEM EMS is where the really tuning will take place...The Turbo Kit is easily gonna hit the 300WHP mark, but with 200WTQ, but I opted for more torque and I wanted a rich safe tune cause I beat on the car and I autox it a lot and track is lightly soo need it to run as safe as possible...You won't be disappoined with this kit..I love the fit and finish and the customer service at least for me was TOP NOTCH...PRICE WAS UNBEATABLE for me

Being a owner of InlinePro's kit i feel i need to add my .02 here...

Im running a Precision gt35/61 turbo, 3' down pipe, AEM...( check sig for more details ) and 16psi boost. Im putting down max power 410.86 and max torque 251.16.....

I believe their complete kit with any size injector and AEM runs $5k. I bought mine without the AEM and with 675cc injectors for $3740.

I will admit, my mechanic had to make some modifications to get everything installed, but im sure you can say that about every kit....

Dont forget to get it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing. That will make all the difference in the world! Good luck with your choice!

OG

Too wide of range.... That in it's self is more than the $2,000 your concerned with. Stick with 290 to 310hp and you will be with in your $$ range.

How many miles can you drive your s2000 with the turbo kit install before you need to rebuild your motor?
