FI Friendly Exhaust setups
My T1R 70EM Duals are holding me back power wise, so its time to think of something a bit more "free flowing"
I absolutely love the look/sound of the T1R exhaust, but the mufflers are doing a bit too much muffling are restricting my power at higher boost levels.
I am looking for something with a similar look, but more of a straight through design. Cutouts are out of the question.
Have been looking at the PTUNING 3" duals and the Berk 3" single as I like the Oval style canister.
Post you setup, and power/boost level. Sound clip/dyno clips are a plus as well!

Ecuts/boost cutouts are out of the question. I am looking for a traditional exhaust setup.
I ran open Downpipe for years on my previous car, completely done with that.
NA, the T1R was perfect for me. It was not too too quiet, but not obnoxious either, and has an incredible tone to it. Now that I've added a nice Borg Warner muffler into the picture, the exhaust is next to silent.
On the dyno, we began to see the power start falling off as we raised the boost. (should see roughly 20whp per psi with this turbo)
The car made 335 @ 6psi 421 @ 10psi and only 460 @14-15 psi , we also started to see some knock (Evans stated backpressure induced) and ended up backing them timing off and left @ 450 @ 14psi for safety.
Jeff stated that the piping diameter (70mm) is MORE than sufficient for 5-600 hp, There was another S there on a straight through 70mm setup that made over 700whp, only thing left in the picture is the mufflers (which are not even close to straight through design)
Definitely do a custom 3" exhaust. Best bang for your buck and you'll get exactly what you want. There are tons of 3" straight through mufflers out there. They probably all perform nearly the same. Pick what you want and enjoy.
I have a custom 3" with a 3" Vibrant muffler and resonator. Sounds great, looks great, makes good power. Couldn't ask for more.

Only sound clip I have so far:
