FI guys to tell the truth
Ok FI fourm members.
I was think about buying a S2000 and doing a Super Charger or Turbo.
Several people advised this is not a good way to go as the S2000 will be a time bomb no matter what you do till you build the lower end.
So the question is how many of you FI guys have blown the stock motor?

Safe tune = safe motor
The question you should ask yourself is did those people cheap out or not tune the car properly?
The s2000 has a fully forged engine, but its also high compression. Its important you dont cheap ass your way through a turbo kit like some people feel is ok for other cars.
No its not ok to try and "its only 5 psi" your way through a turbo kit.
If your planning on turboing your s2k. Do it Right the first time and expect to pay good money to get it done correctly.

it's already been said but the motor is fine when tuned properly. anyone who says the motor can't handle the power is ignorant and misinformed. the key to the whole thing is a proper tune. bad tune and you could wreck the motor with just a few PSI, good tune and you could be fine with 500whp+.
bottom line, don't go cheap on fuel, engine management, or the tune!
all of those things are far cheaper and less annoying than replacing your motor
