Angry First 2,500 miles

Being there has been a few guys who have had some issues, and I always seem to have one, I figured I would share what issues I have since my install. I am bored too, so why not make another thread

just hit 2,500 miles, the car is currently my daily and goes through a lot of heat cycles. I daily it at 550HP/400TQ @ 20lbs on a GT35r with PFAB Manifold

I am running 10lbs in 1st gear, 12lbs in 2nd gear and 19.5-20lbs in gears 3-6.

So far I have had

Issue #1 ----A few TPS issues (due to the METH), not a big deal, easy to identify and fix

Issue #2 ----Got locked out of 5th gear ONCE after beating on it on the highway for a short time, only happened once, has not happened again, shifts smoothly currently

Issue #3---Car pulling timing out of nowhere which caused my manifold and turbo to glow ( Though I don't know why this happened I think the Series 2 is to blame, I just don't trust it to be honest

Issue #4---- The brace holding up the Intercooler snapped and Intercooler was being held up my charge pipe basically, kind of a PITA to fix, but not time consuming, just annoying

Issue #5---- Car started to overheat, only thing I can attribute that too was not bleeding the cooling system properly after taking off the throttle Body & associated coolant lines a few times, who knows if thats really the cause.

Issue #6----Turbo Bolts closest to the valve cover backed out, hoping to be a quick fix , will let you know tomorrow , also associated with this I will need to cut the frame more, DP smacks agiants frame in left turns while car is under load.

I let the car warm up before I get on it, and i always let it cool down before shutting of. I change the Oil at 1,500 mile intervals (did change right after glowing manifold incident) and changed the plugs out at 2,000 miles just to get them back to heat range #8.

Though I try to keep the WOT pulls to a minimum lately, I def have been pretty hard on it the first 1,500 miles of it, but it was new so I guess thats expected.

Not that many issues (nor serious) for a new setup and a 600whp street car.

STAY POSITIVE!!!!

Yeah....I was about to say, I just don't know you well enough to bust your balls that bad....haha.

I've had more and worse issues during one dyno session or outings at the track.

Joey, switch to innovative motor mounts or at least check yours. Could be a bad mount causing the DP to hit. We have same kit, but I have innovative mounts and have no issues with DP.

I also have the turbo bolts backing out and or breaking problem. I am uaong heat treated studs as well. If I keep the car mounts will help especially with clutch chatter Whig I'm sure is another reason of bolts backing out. That's the single worst thing. I did get locked out of 5th as well but ita fine now.
