Default flywheels with FI ! help?

hey guys so ive been looking around the forum and i cant find a clear answer to my question . i am gonna be on boost soon and im gonna change out my clutch system . this is the setup i got in mind . act HD pressure plate , act HD clutch disk , F1 racing 10.75lb flywheel . what you guys think ? what you guys think about the flywheel ? is it to light or should i go with a ap1 flywheel instead ? i got a ap2 and i hate the high rpm hanging i get with my ap2 flywheel . also im installing a greddy turbo kit and i wont be making anymore than 300hp . so what you guys think ? thanks

I have the ACT setup with 11lb flywheel and I have noticed any difference in driveability vs ap1 flywheel. I am very happy with the choice and I am sure you will be. The issue guys have tends to be with the ultalight flywheels like 8lbs

I use a competition 11lb flwheel and a stock clutch and i'm running a good bit more power than a greedy kit. I had a competition iron man clutch but i got sick of the noise and chatter. the stocker is holding just fine for now. Lots of people run the act clutches but i'd def get a stock disk if you like it smooth and quiet. As far as the flywheel goes, the lighter the better in my opinion. Others may disagree but I see no advantage to more rotating mass.

11lb vs 13lb you wont feel a difference most likely... heavier flywheels put more load on the motor which builds boost faster IIRC, not worth paying $300 when Ap1 flywheels can be had for $50

I ran a 7lb fidanza (stock was 15 i think) on an MR2 & honestly it did not make any noticeable difference performance wise, it just made the car easier to stall out from a stop

On my previous s it was a ap1 . And when I switched my flywheel to the f1 10.75lb flywheel. Wow what a difference. It was so quick n responsive . But is 10.75lb to light for boost?

The lighter the better, if your looking for all out performance. You can learn to drive anything on the street if your having fun is my thinking

I run a ap1 flywheel right now, but this was after 5 years on an 8lb flywheel, half of that time was spent on my f22. I prefer the 8LB on that motor becuase its so lively, but at the time I needed a flywheel in a pinch and ended up with the AP1(Which is a good compromise compared to the 22LB ap2) Next time I open her up its a 8LB again.

Ap2 flywheel sucks. Ap1 best bang for buck. I run one on my ap2.

f1 = ebay. get a better brand, findanza or act... I've got the exedy hyper single and it has a smaller diameter clutch and flywheel that is around 8lbs i believe. it revs alot better than my ap1 did. i wouldn't have any other setup. when my hyper single dies i'll replace it with another or the carbon clutch they offer
