there is a potential loss in boost, but from some information given to me by a local tuner, the power from cooler intake temps should compensate for the power loss by boost.

Everything I have seen indicates that a good FMIC on a SC'd s2000 outperforms an air/water aftercooler consistently.

If you have the AC and just want the look then get the front mount radiator from Tech 2. I got about a 15-20 degree drop in temps and you don't have to mess with pipes or worry about boost loss.

it really depends what you are using the car for. If its a drag car, you only really care about low intake temps for short periods of time. This is where the air/water setup is proven better. Just put in some ice water. If you do any kind of roadracing or activities that would cause the car to heatsoak the air/air is the way to go.

i have no idea what and after cooler is, but i have FMIC with my rotrex and no joke my intake temps never go above like 24degress on a hot day (28ish degrees)

...unless i sit in traffic for a long time lol, even then the thermal fans come on and everything cools down straight away.

Defiantly recommend them!

I just had a quick search for a pic of the vortech kit, is it just like the one below?

If so intercooler would work fine IF you can clock ur s/c and point the output down or to the left.

If you cant it looks like ud have to run pipe work going in and out of the intercooler from the right hand side, something like the pic below

Hope that helps a bit, also one last thing most intercoolers rate the pressure drop per due to the intercooler, usually its something tiny like .6 psi at 15psi or something.
