Default found a used supercharger

I've posted a few threads about superchargers and what they would do for my stock S2K. Pretty much I've settled for a Vortech or Comptech. I found a used Vortech for $1,000 with an aftercooler and everything needed to run the car. He said it was on the car for 6 months? Should I buy it? Should I offer him more if necessary? Thanks.

Just spoke to the seller on the phone, sounds pretty real. I'm waiting for a call back. I told him I could go higher.

Those brackets loook "home made"...
I would suggest you shy away from this kit for 1K.
Anything good will at least cost around 3K.

Actually I just finished installing my vortech unit bought used for $2200, but it was a once in a lifetime type deal. Anything around $3000 is reasonable.

P.S. That kit looks like it has an external fuel pump, our car has an inernal one. There are also too many pulleys on that "custom" mounting plate. And why would he include the factory vortech installation instruction booklet if it is a custom kit?

Oh, wait...

That's a 350z kit
