Default Freeze Plug Shot out at the tuning session today

So everything was going great during tuning. On the last pull we did today the freeze plug shot out. (Made 390@13psi and was still climbing strong before getting to hit 9k rpms)

What is going to be the best way to fixing this? Just plugging it with a new aftermarket freeze plug since honda doesn't have these plugs fs. They say it comes with the head.

Should there be any hondabond or anything applied to this?

We are thinking that when the car was stored over the winter the coolant must have froze a bit and started pushing the plug out before the block or head would crack.

I bought it from a dealership in the fall and they must have mixed slightly a bit too much water is the guess.

Thanks for the replies

btw just to put a smile on my face

I'm guessing you mean a welsh plug.

Measure the ID of the hole accurately and visit your local parts store. They will have a range of metric or fractional inch sizes. Knock it in with a socket and some permanent assembly sealant around the perimeter.

There is actually a freeze plug on the head right below the intake manifold. We're assuming it was from the incorrect mixture of the water and antifreeze. It easily gets below 15 to 20 degrees here in MN and the coolant was pretty watered down. We tested the coolant, and the freezing point was damn near the type of climate we get here in MN.

Ok here is the thing with using the sealant. What about when the plug needs or has to pop off again if that were to happen again. You would need the plug to do it's job which is pop off before the motor cracks. If there is sealent on there would that prevent it from popping out?

They're designed to let sand out after casting the head.

So Full blown just called.

They put in a new Plug. Pressure tested and it leaked.

They say they can fix it by removing the head, screwing a new plug in permanently. Do you guys see any better options and do you guys see any reason why this wouldn't work?

Looks like new ARP studs and a new OEM headgasket is the only plus side to this.
