I've had similar issues. After using a new sending unit, and adjusting its position in the tank about 8 times, it works. Just a pain :/

im sure you have already done these things but I would start here:

-shine a light from the top to see how the socks should line up.
-make sure the way the hanger is turned that the socks match how it should look after shinning the light down in there.
-put a couple degrees of angle from the float and the socks instead of straight in line. that helped me a bit.
-see if the float device (the black floatie thing) is turned the right way.. sometimes it gets caught upside down and will show more gas than you actually have.

gl man... seems like everyone goes through hell with the dual hanger. :/

Mine doesn't register at all now.. It's showing fuel light on and no fuel. Been driving according to how many miles I get out of a tank which has been a total PITA!

Hurt my back at work a few weeks ago and have not had the patience with a sore back to attempt to fix it.

Pull your hanger out pull the fuse for ur pump turn the key on and move the float to the full mark..its suppose to go up if that works full the tank and re install ur hanger but u might end up with the same problem as me

Cant see in the tank unless u pull the hanger half way out...the socks are facing the back of the car with a lil piece maybe 2 inches towards the front..the float is facing the front of the car..is that correct?

Hey man, I will be away on my honeymoon for a month to Greece, when I get back I will start work on the car again. Discovered Afew little oil leaks on the oil filter relocation block. So looks like I have some work to do when I get back.

Will let you know how the fuel gauge goes when I get into it!
