Default Fuel Pump and BOV

Hi everyone, I am getting my Vortech Kit installed this week. Hopefully, I will br driving my SC'ed S next weekend

Anyways, I have a couple of questions. I bought my kit used. Yhe seller said it comes with a fuel pump and BOV. Don't know if they normally come with the kit or what brand they are.

What is the difference in getting a Walbro 225 Fuel Pump. It's just everybode has that and I don't know what difference it makes. Also I realized that some people have Godzilla BOV. What is the difference of that and the BOV that comes with the kit??

Please let me know...

BTW, I will be installing 650cc injectors and a 4.25 pulley. Do I have to have AEM EMS?? I know it is a lot better than the rest but I just don't have that much more to invest. Can I use VAFC II or Greedy eManage if I won't be upgrading more (if I just put the injectors and pulley)??

If you upgade the injectors or the pulley your gonna need engine management, it is reccomended either way but if you run the kit stock your safe without it. You dont need the ems but most everyone here will tell you to go ems cause your probably gonna end up wanting it anyway and you will extract more power with it. The walbro is fine and it doesnt matter what bov you use, the godzilla will work perfect. ems is expensive to tune so the emanage will deffinatley be better than nothing.

I think you are comfusing using the Vortehc and Comptech kits when talking about the BOV. The Vortech uses a Greddy style BOV where the comptech uses a Bosch style. The Gozilla is a bolt of replacement for the comptech, not the Vortech.

The fuel pump that comes with the Vortech is a Walbro 255lhp pump and it's not really needed. The stock unit is a 190lhp (so I've read on these forums) and can max out the duty cycle of 650cc injectors with a 30% saftey margin.

You don't need the EMS, but I don't think a VAFC will cut it. I'd atleast go with the E-manage.

For 650's, they're roughly 2x larger than stock. Using anything other than the EMS will be sketchy at best. I have successfully run 2x larger injectors on other cars, but it never works well... The EMS will require significant tuning. It can be done yourself if you're careful and understand the tuning process. In the end, you will wind up with a car that drives like stock, but with more power everywhere.

I could be wrong here but, aren't the 650cc injectors overkill for that pulley size?

A smaller pulley may be in my future...10-12 lbs range. I was thinking 550cc's.
