Default Fuel pump whining?

I had my comptech supercharger for couple months now. Everything was going great. Recently, I started to noticed a whining noise from the rear that was never there before(near rear driver tire). And it only happened after the car has been driven for awhile. I brought it to the shop and was told that its the whine of the fuel pump.

I did some search around the forum and found out that the comptech supercharger came with the walboro pump and is known for whining.

My questions is...
1.) why didn't it happen in the beginning?
2.) Is that a sign of the pump going bad?
3.) If i get my replacement from comptech, is it gonna be the same way again?
4.) Or should I get another brand of fuel pump that doesn't whine at all (which brand)?

1) You should have noticed it before. Maybe you never noticed with the S/C whine

2) Not always

3) Probably

4) Nothing, you wanted an S/C with a RRFPR.

Mine did that too... after installing and driving it for nearly a month, there was no noise at all from the fuel pump. A month after the install, i bring it to the tuner for a few runs, and i get a buzzing/whining noise from the rear.

Better get use to it, they're called whinebro's for a reason!

fuel pumps do whine. you should hear it when you turn the ignition on without starting it.

When I was at the shop, we heard it with and without the car being started. Very different. This is very clear and annoying sound. Ever heard of a tornado warning siren from a distance. Wheeeeeeeee......That's what it sounds like. And have you listen to those things when you're turning signal is on waiting at a red light. Whee, woo, whee, woo.....Makes me wanna punch something.

I didn't notice the whine after I had installed my SC until my friend pointed it out.

My Walbro makes a steady high pitched whine when the fuel level is low and outside temps are hot i.e. 90*+
