Fuel tunning queston
I have an 01 with a Comptech S/C and exhaust. First, I have a feeling its running rich because my tips get black in 30 min of driving after they have been cleaned. Everyone is saying "get it dyno tuned". I also want to lower the vtec because the car has no low end power. So im thinking about a vafc and a dyno tune. Is this a good idea? Should I scrap the vafc and just go with the dyno or is the vafc a good idea since I wouldn't mind the vtec at about 5200.
Also where can I get the car on a dyno with someone who knows about the s2000 near Philly?

I wouldnt tinker around with the vtec engagement point, but i would recommend getting a vafcII dyno tuned .
I would love my vtec to kick in sooner so i don't have to keep the car in extremly high rpm's when for example racing from a roll. What would be the negative effect of lowering the VTEC?

There is no disadvantage to lowering the vtec point. It is an advantage to lower it. Most people that actually race their cars in the 1/4 mile will lower down to 4300. Mine is at 4800 and it has made a HUGE difference. I will be lowering it to 4300 soon. Go ahead and do it. It has been great for me. Also you will probably get people telling you that the VAFC sucks. Don't listen to them. It will work fine for now until you start raising the boost into 9+.
