Default Full Race downpipe users I need your help...

So I just realized the Full race downpipe goes to a V-band where it is suppose to meet the CAT.
What are all you full race owners using as an exhaust solution? Is there an adapter flange to hook up with the stock pickup point? Or are you all running custom exhaust? Also does the dowpipe eliminate the CAT all together? In other words do you only need a custom CAT back exhaust? Thanks in advance.

For my exhaust I bought a megan 3 inch and had the flange swapped to a vband.

So the full race dowpipe eliminates the CAT or test pipe section correct? Just to confirm all I need is have the V-band flange fabricated for a cat back V-Band system? Does anyone have any pics?

I have a custom with a HFC welded in between. Originally I was planning to change my 3" test pipe flange to V-band for one side and use the rest for normal catbacks.

I ended up custom dp back all vband.

Wow, so you added a highflow cat in the downpipe and ended up going all custom, crazy. Its so funny how there are so many people running around with these kits and I have not seen much info posted on exhaust setups. There must be a demand for this. I think I might try to get a manufacture to produce a V-band exhaust that bolts right up for Full Race guys. Everyone else have to make a custom exhaust, or find the need for this, or am I crazy? I am thinking three inch single with a TI canister would be sweet.

Yea that's true. But then there's so many options and tastes for exhausts. I wanted to have it quiet as possible with OEM tips. Mine is 3" split into dual 2.5 mufflers. Sound is very quiet compared to the 3" dual. And then others like singles and teeth chattering loud.

I think the simplest thing is to replace the vband with the flange like kutsujula did and still have the option for any manufactured exhaust.

Sarek, have you tried the 3" dual mufflers? That was the route I was thinking of going, but using two resonators in the intermediate pipe and a HFC to keep the noise down.

So I guess the difference between what I'm thinking is one extra resonator with two 3" mufflers vs. your 2.5" mufflers. I also want it dead quiet.... can't attract too much attention around So Cal.

That was my previous setup; 3" from the dp to the exhaust tips. But I only had 1 resonator. not sure if 2 would even fit. <-- That setup was not very loud (with the turbo installed) but resonated more than I like. It did have a nice rumble to it tho.

The new setup is probably about 40% quieter and a little louder than stock. Just the way I like it.

sorry to the OP for being off topic.

Custom exhaust looks like the way to go for the FR turbo kit. I'm going to see about going with a full titanium exhaust (like my J's 70RR), as long as it doesn't cost TOO much..
