so you're talking about the intake tube between the filter and the turbo, not the intake manifold....just to clarify..

Why the change of heart?

A coupler for your turbo, t bolt and a bit of pipe and slap a decent filter on.

well heres the problem, i have that oil presure sensor and oil feedline thats just in the way, also the change of heart is bc i was losing power up top at the dyno, we thought it was the screen so we took it off and it made more power, but then the same thing happened a few pulls later so we thought it might be the dump tube fumes getting into the turbo, so we put a fan right next the that, problem solved, so it was either the screen or the fumes, either way i wanna get myself a nice intake with a huge filter, like one of the gigantic k&n cones

lol, glad to hear you're at least acknowledging the issue you had with your setup. I'll post up pics of the setup when i ran my full race setup when i get home.

hmm, I never noticed any issues.

I would dyno w/no screen, and then put it on when I got home. I always figured if it was a restriction it would spool slower, or I would see richer AFR's, didn't notice a change.

May depend on what you were using, but more than likely the fumes, I beleive Evan's was the one who did a few tests w/the w/g dumps and how it has an affect on whp, more or less "external reversion".

not the best pictures, but i ran my intake into the bumper from the turbo compressor. I dropped IAT's by 20 degrees on hot days and within 5 degrees of ambient. I also cut out the passenger side faux fog light and the air filter received fresh air.
